Located at 1660 meters above sea level halfway up the western slope of the Ayas Valley, Lignod seems like a characteristic Walser village, welcoming and quiet. Stone lanes wind through ancient Rascards. Fresh spring water flows from the fountains within the town. Behind the meadows begins the paths that lead you to Barmasc and Mount Zerbion.
Situated a short distance from Antagnod, the town of Lignod is crossed by the road that connects the two villages to Corbet heading South. Instead heading Notrh on this road you can meet all the villages between Antagnod and Champoluc, which is the last village of the valley.. In high-season there is a free shuttle service that allows you to move freely and reach the ski lifts.
